Playa del Carmen is ideally located for your vacation enjoyment. Only a short 45-50 minute drive south from the international airport in Cancun or  ferry ride from Cozumel Island, Playa is situated directly in the middle of the Mayan Riviera that stretches from Cancun to Tulum.

Upon leaving the airport turn to the right onto Highway 307 (signs will say To Tulum). Playa del Carmen is approximately 41 miles from the airport. About 20 minutes after leaving Cancun, you will see the sign for Playa del Secreto and the entrance on the left side of the highway. Approximately 10 minutes after passing Playa del Secreto, you will pass through the small pueblo of Puerto Morelos. Puerto Morelos is about the halfway point to Playa del Carmen. Keep heading straight for Playa del Carmen which is approximately 20 more minutes south (depending on the traffic of course). For the properties located in the Playa del Carmen downtown area, you can turn left at 34th Ave where you see the Honda dealership and Boxito store.

One of the main entrances to the town of Playa del Carmen is the Avenida Juarez. If you are renting one of the properties located in the private Playacar communities, you will continue past Juarez Ave & follow signs to Playacar exit which will actually be on the other side of the freeway. To get to the entrances of the private Playacar communities, turn left at the light and go straight until the end of the street where you must either veer to the left or to the right. Directly in front of you, you will see the building known as Plaza Antigua. The Playa Beach Properties & Rentals office is located on the 2nd floor, locale #13, which is on the opposite end from the local Immigration installation. Please stop by to visit us anytime Monday through Friday 9:00- 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00- 2:00. If you are staying in Playacar Phase II, turn to the right. If your private vacation home is located in the Playacar Phase I community, you will instead veer to the left. Immediately after passing the Plaza Antigua building, you will take 2 quick rights. After going through the security gates, you will turn left and immediately see the magnificent blue of the Caribbean ocean.

The new, luxurious resort of Puerto Aventuras is approximately 18 miles south of Playa del Carmen. Well known for it's beautiful marina, Puerto Aventuras also boasts an 18 hole golf course, lovely beaches, a variety of restaurants & bars and the popular Swim with the Dolphin excursion.

Playa del Carmen is a fast becoming the number one vacation destination in Mexico. In addition to the soft white beach and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, Playa offers something for everyone. Fine dining, great shopping, fun bars, a variety of water sports, exciting excursions....whatever your interests, chances are you will find it here! If you take advantage of Playa del Carmen's central location, there are many wonderful things to see. Visit the nearby ecopark at Xcaret- only 4 miles south of Playa, or the natural aquariams at Xel-Ha only 32 miles south. Continue 6 miles further and you will find in Tulum the Mayan ruins with the spectacular view overlooking the magnificent Caribbean. A short day trip to visit the pyramids and other Mayan ruins nestled in the jungle at Coba is also a must. . 

Playa del Carmen awaits you. The people are friendly and unhurried, the food is abundant, the entertainment ample and varied, and the scenery, weather, and Caribbean are just fantastic! From fast paced fun to pure relaxation, it doesn't get any better than this!
