Peanut Pet Shelter, Humane Society of Playa del Carmen, is a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and
adoption of sick, starving, injured, lost and abandoned dogs and cats. It is solely funded by public donation and individual animal
sponsorships. The shelter continues to grow and flourish due entirely to the kindness of its supporters.
Every Saturday is dog wash day at Peanut Pet Shelter. Tourists and locals gather to wash and help socialize the dogs and visit with the
cats. It is a great opportunity to meet and get to know fellow animal lovers. A pick up is provided from Mega supermarket near the
