Description
One of the most recent listings to the Playa Beach Rentals site
is a just completed 4 Bedroom luxury home with ocean view called
Villa Passalacqua.
This fabulous 3500 square foot 5 bedroom ocean view home can be
rented as a 4 bedroom also, and is located in the Playacar Phase
I private resort community. There are quality finishes and furnishings
throughout the house including marble floors, beautiful handcrafted
stone "Tikul" countertops, finely crafted 21 panel oak
doors, all new appliances, ceiling fans and air condition.
Villa Passalacqua is not only located approximately 80 yards from
the beach, but also has vistas of the ocean from some bedrooms and
terraces. Outside of the Master Bedroom, you will find a large jacuzzi
with infinity waterfall and from the solarium rooftop a fantastic
360 degree view which provides quite a bit of privacy, as well as
boasts a built in BBQ and plenty of seating.
Upon entering Villa Passalacqua, you will be impressed by the large
picture window near the front entrance which showcases an enormous
tree, easily hundreds of years old, in the garden outside. At night,
carefully placed lighting enhances the magical look of this work
of nature. Located on the 1st floor is the living and dining area,
the kitchen which is equipped with top of the line appliances including
6 burner stove with oven, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave,
blender and more, as well as a half bath and the den/bedroom.
There are three guest bedrooms on the second floor, all of which
have full bath, ceiling fans and a thermostatically controlled central
AC unit with remote. One of these bedrooms has a private terrace
and offers a glimpse of the magnificent Caribbean.
As you go to the third floor, you will continue to be impressed
by Casa Passalacqua Here you will find the Master Bedroom with a
King bed which can also be separated to make 2 singles, a sitting
area with 3 piece sofa and an extra large bathroom. Just outside
of the ample Master Bedroom, you will find a jacuzzi with Infinity
waterfall. The jacuzzi can almost be considered a mini-pool. It
is about 100 square feet, holds approximately 10,000 liters of water
and is about 31/2- 4 feet deep. Enjoy the fantastic ocean view while
relaxing in the jacuzzi or while sipping your ice cold margarita
as you sit at the patio table under the shade of the umbrella.
The beauty and amenities that Villa Passalacqua offers doesn't
stop there! Caracol stairs lead you up to the rooftop solarium which
has a built in BBQ, plenty of seating and boasts an impressive 360
degree view.....to the East, you have a 180' view of the clear turquoise
waters of the Caribbean and you can easily see Cozumel Island on
a clear day. To the West, is the bird aviary of Playacar and beyond
that you see miles of jungle.
Few homes in Playacar offer as much as Villa Passalacqua! Best
of all, the owners will be offering a great discount for a limited
time since this is Villa Passalacqua's debut. Currently, rates compare
to those of 3-4 bedroom homes with no ocean view. Book now and enjoy
these inaugural rates!

This house was AMAZING! The pictures do not do it any justice.
Went there with a group of eight friends and there was PLENTY of
room for all. The view from the roof is spectacular and cannot
be described well in words, but it will take your breath away.
The beach is very close, along with downtown Playa, but you are
far enough that you aren't bothered by any noise or crowds.
The maid service was great as well. Absolutely no complaints
from us at all. A PERFECT week.

We had an outstanding trip to Playa and really enjoyed Casa Passalacqua.
The location and the house are fantastic. Each bedroom has its own
bathroom which is great with a larger group and the interior looked
even better in person than the pictures online. The staff (of Playa
Beach Rentals) was also extremely helpful, especially Sergio, who
even went and got us charcoal for the rooftop grill when we could
not find it at the grocery store.

We just got back from a week in PDC, staying in Casa Passalacqua
and the pictures do not do it justice. It was great, the rooms
were large and the house was very clean. The service was great,
and the ocean was only a short distance away.

This house was so amazing!! It was so spacious, clean, and beautiful...and
it only took minutes to walk to the beach and to the shops of 5th
Ave!! The view of the ocean from the house was exceptional and completley
relaxing! I can't wait to go back and visit paradise again!!

We just got back from staying in the Casa Passalacqua. It
was great and only 6 months old as of May 2004. When we first
thought of going to Cancun, we wanted to take all my family and
kids, who are all grown and one is married but no children yet.
It was a total of 9. I had been at Cancun before and it was
more like going to an American resort town. We wanted something
different. We wanted to be able to stay together and enjoy each
other and talk and laugh. We had been to see Playa del Carmen
before to go to Cozumel, and were impressed with the town.
It is small enough to get around easily, yet big enough to have
restaurants, shopping and large grocery stores. We chose
the Casa Passalacqua, and were not sorry we did. All the family
repeatedly stated they were glad we were staying where we were.
We went through Playa Beach Rentals. To tell you the truth, I was
very nervous about sending such a large amount of money by personal
check which was not secured in any way, but I had to trust in the
previous review who stated that they had a great time. Don't
worry, the house is there and they want you to come back.
The key was there, and the house was great.
A few things should be mentioned. The range is not really
a 6 burner, but is 4 with a grill plate. It didn't matter,
because 4 is plenty enough to cook on to feed 9. The air conditioner
is not central as we in the U.S. know it, with one or two compressors
and air coming out of ducts. They are wall mounted units in
each room with a small compressor outside for each unit. This
is actually better! Each bedroom gets to be the temperature
that each couple wants. We had some that liked it cool and
other that liked it warmer. They work very well and you can
get then down way too cold if you aren't careful. The rest
is right on target. The table is big enough to seat 9.
The rooms are very spacious. The top room is big enough for
2 king size beds and plenty more room. That's the one to fight for.
The Jacuzzi is as big as advertised and is taken care of very well.
The view is wonderful and there is a table and chairs such that
you can eat up there on the second floor veranda and enjoy the view
of the ocean and Cozumel in the distance. Sergio, who is in
charge of customer relations, was always available to handle small
problems that could arise. The water pressure is just fine.
The beach is very close and is a very nice one. One thing
I learned was that in Mexico, all the beaches are free to walk on.
You can go onto the beaches where the big resorts are, and can sit
down and enjoy yourself. Can't go inside if it is restricted.
There is plenty to do, and if you get bored, it is your own fault.
There is a large very modern store that offers food and household
stuff, much like Wall Mart, called Chemudraui I believe. It
is right on the corner of Highway 307 and Jurarez. Prices
are very good.
I could write a lot more, but all you should know is that it is
a great place in a great town.

What a privilege it was to be one of the first guests at Casa Passalacqua.
We, a group of four women, had the time of our lives. Two of us
have been traveling to Playa over the years and stayed in many homes
in Playacar. This was one of my favorites. We have already been
discussing a booking for next year.
We each had our own suite with private full bath. Each with a
special twist. One of the master suite showcases an incredible rubber
tree (outside of course). The beds were heavenly! The sundeck aligned
itself with the tree tops -great for private tanning and a splendid
view of Island of Cozumel at night. The terrace area with jacuzzi
was great gathering place. Not to forget the lovely main floor living,
dining and kitchen area. The home exceeded our expectations. The
rental process was smooth with Playa Beach Rentals. All four of
us would give it four stars.
Enjoy!
