Villas Sacbe Unit 10 is a luxurious 3-story penthouse in an intimate group of 12 condominiums located in the heart of Playa del Carmen.  On 1st Avenue between 12th Street and 14th Street, you are about a block from the beach and 25 meters from a multitude of shops and restaurants in the most enchanting portion of Fifth Avenue. With over 50 restaurants within 4 blocks of the villa and 2 supermarkets within walking distance, there is no need for a car in Playa.  The nearby beach is nearly perfect for children and adults alike—gradually sloping white sand with gentle waves in the turquoise water.  Just around the point to the north, the beach near Mamitas is a little piece of paradise.

The unique architecture includes 2-story windows overlooking the central courtyard and swimming pool, curved walls and open spiral staircase, and a palapa roof over the third bedroom. Interior features include Tikul stone on all floors, a custom kitchen island and 6 stools, and striking local paintings and sculptures.  There are three lower terraces overlooking 1st Avenue, but the best outdoor area is the large private rooftop terrace with a plunge tub, a wet barAnd small gas grill……not to mention the view of the impressive turquoise waters of the Caribbean!

Also popular with guests is the custom kitchen island where everyone gravitates to for food and drink. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing full dinners as well as lighter meals, with full-size stainless steel gas stove and oven. Cook service may be reserved, but with the vast array of nearby restaurants the temptation to go out on the town for meals is nearly irresistible!

The living room provides comfortable seating for 8, and is equipped with cable TV, DVD, and stereo. Two bedrooms are located on the lower floor. There is a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, which of course has a private bathroom. The master bedroom is equipped with cable TV and DVD.  The second bedroom has two twin-sized beds that can be made up as a king, and has virtually private use of the hallway bathroom. The third bedroom is a loft above the rooftop terrace that has a double bed and a small balcony with the best view in Villas Sacbe. It uses the bathroom on the main (middle) floor.  Finally, the sectional couch in the living room can be used to sleep two, if desired, either in two twin beds or a king.

Your favorite sleeping spot may not be any of the comfortable bedrooms, but instead it just may be under the sun on the private rooftop terrace!  If you get hot, you only need to step into the plunge tub.  Paradise!

Nearby Attractions

Playa has the perfect mix of attractions for families as well as couples.  Experience the amazing Mayan ruins such as Chitzen Itza, Coba, and Tulum.  The ecological water parks, Xel Ha and Xcaret feature swimming with dolphins and other attractions.  Unique cenote SCUBA tours are available from Playa, and nearby Cozumel is famous for its diving and snorkeling.  The beautiful beaches, steps away, extend for miles north and south.  Golf and tennis are available for the more active minded.  On the 5th Avenue, dining, night life andshopping beckon.
